Top 5 Cafes with Internet in CabareteBest Places to Do Work!Pictured: Vitamin D Cafe Whether you’re a digital nomad or just need to tend to some business during your tropical vacation, you’ll want to know the Top 5 Cafes with Internet in Cabarete, Dominican Republic. #1 Vitamin D Cafe, In front of Agualina Hotel on Kite BeachThis restaurant tops our list of places to work from in Cabarete because it’s right on the ocean. When you’re visiting a tropical country like Dominican Republic you’ll want to spend as much time as you can taking in the landscape. In the mornings on Kite Beach you’ll see a few paddle boarders on the flat water or maybe a band of horses casually gallop by. In the afternoons the wind picks up and kiteboarders start to streak up and down the water. Vitamin D Cafe has the fastest internet in Cabarete as well as an entirely gluten-free, mostly vegan menu. It’s a healthy restaurant but also has all the fun stuff like bacon burgers, desserts, and infused spirits. #2 Vagamundo Coffee and Waffles, across from Supermercado La RosaThis pacific northwest style coffee shop is located really close to Cabarete Condos. Concentrating here is easy as you’ll see many people on their laptop and the music is very relaxing. It was designed to be somewhere you can sit all day and work from in Cabarete. Most places in town just serve hot black coffee but Vagamundo has an entire menu of caffeinated beverages. Here you can enjoy cappuccino, cold brew coffee, their signature drink called the 7 summits, matcha lattes, and much more. They serve different kinds of Belgian style waffles, smoothie bowls and savory bowls as well. Our review of Cabarete Eats: Vagamundo Coffee and Waffles. #3 Janets Cafe, above Janet’s SupermarketWe like working from here because the internet is fast and not many people know about this cafe. It’s an easy place to concentrate. When you need a break from your screen you can see the aisles of the supermarket downstairs and people watch. Janet’s Cafe serves a full menu of Dominican dishes like rice, beans, stewed chicken, and salad. Their espresso is always really strong and they also have all kinds of natural juices made from the fruits sold downstairs. You can kill two birds with one stone by working here and picking up groceries on your way back. #4 Fresh Fresh Cafe, across from BHD Bank in central CabareteBeautifully decorated with lots of seating inside and outside, this healthy restaurant is a favorite for business meetings. We recommend coming here if you need to work at night when the rest of the places on our list are closed. Their menu is large with a variety of smoothies, bowls, wraps, snacks, and rich chocolate brownies. Fresh Fresh is also the go-to place to buy organic products like teas, soaps, and kombucha. Read more in our review of Cabarete Eats: Fresh Fresh Cafe. #5 Belgian Bakery, next to Banco PopularThe coffee here is very strong and the bakery desserts are on display and hard to resist. It’s worth mentioning that most days the internet here is really good except when there is no power in the town. What makes Belgian Bakery special is that it serves Dominican Breakfast all day everyday. To learn about more places serving breakfast in Cabarete click here. For skype calls or tedious design work we recommend sitting outside where you can concentrate and not have to worry about being too loud. The seats are comfortable and the staff is really nice. Before you go home pick up some fresh bread and a couple of European craft beers from their cooler. The more I travel, the more I realize how important it is to stay organized. It’s just so easy to misplace or damage an important travel document. A passport holder can be a great way to protect your passport from damage, and it’s also a great way to showcase your personal travel style. In this review, we’re taking a look at the JooJoobs leather passport holder. The Personalized Leather Passport Holder by JooJoobsWhen JooJoobs first reached out to us to review their personalized passport holder, I first clicked over to the JooJoobs Etsy page to check out their reviews. I was blown away by the over 5,000 reviews, with a five out of five star rating. Pretty impressive! So, we asked JooJoobs to send us a sample to check out.
What did we think of the JooJoobs leather passport cover?JooJoobs personalized leather passport holder fits one passport perfectly, with no extra room for credit cards or cash (unless you tuck them into the inside passport sleeve). What’s really special about this leather passport cover is that you can personalize it with your initials, or even an image. There are some really cool images to choose from, including a compass, anarchy, bio hazard, a fleur de lis and a happy face. You can also get your initials on the inside cover. I always worry a bit about my passport falling out of a passport holder, but I honestly don’t think that will be a problem here. The JooJoobs passport holder is perfectly sized for the passport, and holds both the front and back passport covers securely. It’s made from full grain distressed leather, and each wallet is handmade to order. The quality of the leather is great, and I have a feeling that this passport holder is going to be one of those items that wears beautifully. Want more room for your credit cards? If you’re interested in a passport holder with more pockets for credit cards, be sure to take a look at this larger JooJoobs leather travel wallet.
